What to Do With the PGA Tour Fall Series - Waggle Room
[Waggle Room] Players competing in these events are either trying to secure their fully exempt PGA Tour status for next season, improve standing for entry into invitational tournaments in the following season, or getting good practice in for the grind that is the PGA Tour Qualifying Tournament (Q-school). Few top-notch players compete in these events, and are generally resigned to playing a few events on the European and Asian Tours in order to collect large appearance fees.

Golf Roundup: Diaz bolts to front of LPGA field in China
[WSJ Sports Pro] Diaz, who played at Wake Forest in the 1990s, matched the best round of her career and capped it with a 3-foot birdie putt on the 18th. She finished third last week in the Kapalua Classic in Hawaii and is trying for her first victory since 2002.

Grand China Air LPGA First-round notes and interviews
[LPGA.com News & Entertainment] With five top-10 finishes to her season, Laura Diaz is looking for her first win since 2002. The 10-year Tour member fired off 10 birdies against just one lone bogey in the first round of the inaugural Grand China Air LPGA en-route to a course-record 9-under-par 63 (33-33), which also ties her career low on the LPGA Tour.

Tiger Is Expanding His Empire to Mexico
[Golf FanHouse] Tiger Woods has announced his latest golf project, Punta Brava, a private golf and ocean club community on the Baja Peninsula south of Ensenada, Mexico about 40 minutes south of San Diego. Punta Brava sits on the tip of a peninsula that extends seven miles into the Pacific Ocean making for beautiful views on the planned 18-hole par 70 oceanfront course.

Vicki Woodcock, of Austin, Texas, carded a two-round 79-82=161 (+17) to win the senior division of the annual event, which was hosted Oct.

[Hobbies Info] It is quite literally a school where the survivors of the first 3 stages advance to take classes held by the PGA TOUR to introduce the attendees to the rigors of tour life. To get to this stage, players have to qualify through stages 1 and 2 (more than 72 holes each) then on to stage 3 where they’ll play another 108 holes over the course of a week, usually in early December.
