[Waggle Room] It got to the point where journalists were seemingly looking for any angle to offer a Yankee pat on the back to Asian players that understood the importance of learning English and were making their best effort to do it. While I agree that anyone is to be commending for trying to better themselves through education, the kind of writing that we were seeing edged on patronization.

FanHouse Talks to Anna Rawson About the LPGA and Jamming Out to ...
[FanHouse] Rawson: Yeah, um, it's not in my hometown -- it's in Melbourne, I'm from South Australia -- I think if it was in South Australia I'd be more motivated about going and playing. But it's just unfortunate that their schedule crosses with the first LPGA event, and the problem with the LPGA is that you have to play a lot in the beginning to qualify for the U.S. Open, the British Open, etc and if you don't get off to a great start it just really makes everything really hard.

[LPGA.com News & Entertainment] Ochoa's strength and early success gave her a commanding lead for the Rolex Player of the Year, which she locked in for a third consecutive time, as well as the Vare Trophy with her Tour-low 69.6988 scoring average. While the accolades are many, some of the highlights from Ochoa's year include winning the Kraft Nabisco Championship - her second consecutive major and, in the following week, winning the Corona Championship in her native Mexico to earn the requisite 27 points required for entry into the LPGA Tour and World Golf Halls of Fame. Ochoa will complete her 10-year membership requirement in 2012.

[FanHouse] By the way if you LOVEMICHELLEWIE so much why didn't you bring her a cold towel when she was withdrawing from a tournament due to heat exhaustion. It probably didn't have anything to do with being 8 over for the tournament at the time.

After a good chip to save par on the fourth hole, Wie hit her approach to 2 feet for a birdie on the 366-yard fifth hole, and closed out her front nine with a 10-foot birdie on the ninth.
