[Jurassicpork.blogspot.com] Yep, another Goddamned blog: January 2005: Also conspicuously absent from the partial news reports are the stories of US soldiers who've lost legs and God knows what else bringing democracy to Iraq who have to pay for their meals at Walter Reed Army Hospital (thx again to Generik at The Generik Brand blog for passing this along). Instead, CNN sent their roving reporter to talk to one young Marine who'd lost a leg, because he said that he would like to see us stay in Iraq and not remove the coalition forces too soon.
[Iammadonna.oracleswar.com] The Material Blog: The corporate media - nothing but a bunch of squawking parrots for the Bush administration who cram Paris Hilton, Britney Spears and the Olsen twins down our throats as distractions when they aren't feeding us lies about politics and world - wasted no time with the pro-Bush propaganda - "This isn't 200!" "The popular vote shows the people want Bush this time!" and wasted no time coming up with bullshit excuses like bloggers or people "lying" at the exit polls on Tuesday to explain why exit polls showed Kerry taking Florida and Ohio, yet lost both states.
[Brothersjudd.com] BrothersJudd Blog: September 2003 Archives: Here's something you would never know from reading Cannon: In summer 1968, Reagan's approval rating in California was 30 percent, and he was the object of a serious recall campaign himself (that this was also the period in which he was being seriously pushed as a Republican presidential nominee gets to the heart of the enigma of Ronald Reagan, that creature of dreams, whose mysteries neither Morris nor Cannon, and certainly not conservative propagandists like Dinesh D'Souza, have yet come even close to figuring out). The recall was run by liberals, it was a shoestring operation--as of June 1968 they had spent $7,000 and had $52 in the bank, compared to the nearly $2 million that had been pledged to the Davis recall by June this year--and it did rather well, considering: They got about half the signatures the Davis petitions did, though they were gathered so unprofessionally that only about 30 percent of them counted.
[Blogforamerica.com] Blog for America: New York - More than a dozen current and former intelligence officers knowledgeable about Iraq spoke with TIME in recent weeks to share details about the conflict, and they voiced their growing frustration with a war that they feel was not properly anticipated by the Bush Administration, TIMEs Joe Klein reports in this weeks cover story (on newsstands Monday, Sept 19). The officers believe its a war fought with insufficient resources and a war that almost all of them now believe is not winnable militarily.
