[The Sand Trap .com - Golf News, Reviews, and Opinions for Golfers, By Golfers] Want to get the scoop straight from the mouths of the players? Titleist's "Direct from the Tour" gives you interviews with the day's hot players and contenders. Why read about it in the paper when you can get it straight from the source with Direct from the Tour.
Some slightly related from Technorati and Google.
[ :: Sports Online :: Formula-1, Cricket, Soccer and more] Clarke blows Heritage field away on windy day: He made headlines with a fitness regimen that helped him lose weight some time back, and has kept his celebrity for his often goofy outfits he wore shiny mustard yellow pants in the second round. With another good display this weekend, Former U.S. Open champion Tom Kite was disqualified for the first time in his 34-year PGA Tour career yesterday after signing an incorrect scorecard at the Heritage in Hilton Head Island, S.C.
[Houston's Clear Thinkers] Batter up! 2005 Stros Preview: Baseball Prospectus' theory is that the Stros have lost two of their best hitters from last season's club (Beltran and Kent) and will not have their best hitter (Berkman) for the first month of the season. Meanwhile, the club continues to accomodate the aging Bidg, who is blocking the development of promising rookie Chris Burke at second base. Also, the club is forced for contract reasons to continue playing the declining Bags at first base rather than placing Berkman there, which is his natural position. Throw in the Stros' continued inexplicable reliance on the consistently unproductive Ausmus at catcher, plus doubts about whether Andy Pettitte can rebound from elbow surgery, and skepticism that the Rocket can repeat last season's incredible performance at the age of 43, and you have a decent argument that the Stros are cruising toward a big downturn.

[Eugenewei.com] Remains of the Day: Variations on a theme by Joe Sheehan: They are putting the principles I've been reading about into practice, and now they'll be tested in the crucible of the real world. The AL East is changing, and I expect the Red Sox and Blue Jays to pass the Yankees in the standings over the next several years. The Red Sox in particular should do well because they can afford a larger budget than either the Blue Jays and A's, AND they have sabermetrics behind them. Call it smart money.
[Baseballnews.blogspot.com] Baseball News Blog: The Baseball Primer folks have found a few good team-specific weblogs I didn't know about: The Cub Reporter (great name), News and Views (which focuses on the White Sox but covers all of baseball), and Braves Journal.
[Baseballnews.blogspot.com] Baseball News Blog: ''We certainly hope that, upon reflection, Mr. Steinbrenner will deliver a public apology to the Montreal Expos with the same ease that he found in impugning the integrity of our organization.''Peter Gammons: "The Yankees, you see, could have had Floyd, but Steinbenner so overreacted to Enrique Wilson's mishaps in right field in a game against the Mets on June 29 that he overruled the sensibilities of 'his baseball people,' called Toronto owner Paul Godfrey and then bought Raul Mondesi on July 2. If Steinbrenner had waited an hour, he'd have found out that as the Mondesi deal was being completed, Marlins team president David Samson had Floyd's agent Seth Levinson in his office informing him that that they could not re-sign Floyd and he would be put on the market that afternoon." [Jsonline.com] JS Online: Scared straight: Nobody torched 6,759-yard Brown Deer, which has given up its share of 63s over the years. But 62 players broke par and it might have been all 156 in the field had the rough not been 6 inches deep everywhere, 8 inches deep in spots and thick enough to choke a weed-whacker.
