http://thesandtrap.com [The Sand Trap .com - Golf News, Reviews, and Opinions for Golfers, By Golfers] He missed the cut by five shots and looked like the complete opposite player from the one that tore through the Bank of America Colonial. Perry has great memories at Muirfield, however, and the fans may get to see the smokin Kenny Perry instead of the ice-cold Kenny Perry. When he won the Colonial in 2003, he also went on to win The Memorial that same year. Could that be a sign of things to come for Perry this week?

Some slightly related from Technorati and Google.

Travelgolf.com[Travelgolf.com] Tim McDonald - PGA Tour hates Kenny Perry winning PGA Colonial: I will absolutely agree that Kenny Perry is a good bit more round then most other players on tour and that he's built for comfort and not speed...but that in no way takes away from the fact that the dude has won 9 PGA Tour events and has been on 2 Ryder Cup teams. Just because he's not won the scoring title and the money title and a grand slam you people think he's a no-name player? I for one love to see an upset but this was not that at all, and on top of that Colonial is not an easy track to shoot a low score on...Believe me!!!

[Goingforthegreen.blogspot.com] Robert Thompson's Going For The Green: Kenny Perry: Best without a ...: After watching an interview with Kenny Perry on the Golf Channel this morning, it is hard to imagine there is a more likeable player on the PGA Tour. He's humble, family-oriented and has apparently given 5% of his career earnings (which are now more than $18-million) to a scholarship fund to allow certain students to go to Christian colleges. I'm not a really religious guy, but man, that's a pretty great thing for an athlete to do.

[Thegolfblog.com] The Golf Blog: Clearly, all things equal, if Singh plays 29 events (as he did in 2004), he is much more likely to win the money title than Tiger or Phil or Ernie, who play around 20 per year, or less (Els at 15 or 16 events per year, not including European or other tour events). Second, as purses increase, it is impossible to compare across years, since each tournament result takes a percentage of the total purse: increase the purse, and you win more, even if you place the same as you did the year before.

Detnews.comhttp://www.detnews.com [Detnews.com] Perry defending champ at Colonial without Annika - 05/20/04: “Sure, you can’t hit driver every hole, but who says you have to?,” said Justin Leonard, who closed last year’s Colonial with a record 9-under 61. “There are courses I don’t go play because I don’t think they suit my game, but I wouldn’t say anything bad about those.

Dallasnews.comhttp://www.dallasnews.com [Dallasnews.com] DallasNews.com | News for Dallas, Texas | Sports Columnist Tim ...: It can also be something less than fascinating. Kenny Perry's runaway seven-shot victory at the Bank of America Colonial had all the drama of a stroll in the park, which is the term he used to describe his second victory at this venue.
