Golf Sports Blog > Rain, Really, Go Away

[Shaghaghi.net] Once again, it decides to rain when I want to play a round of golf.

Some slightly related from Technorati and Google.

[Cooking with the Mental Office Girl] Support your local family owned restaurants - screw the chains: I have nothing against the Arizona desert, the majesty, the rock formations, the canyons, and the beautiful and alien fauna and flora native to the state. I found the desert to be a tranquil and at times a wonderfully unsettling place, but most of my stay found me in the suburban outskirts of town surrounded by long stretches of shopping malls and chain restaurants punctuated occasionally with a golf course or industrial park. Houses and apartment complexes mimicked the look of the Alamo in suburban developments that all stand in uniform and replicated styles. The developers didn't even disguise this fact with slighly different colored facades.

[Chrenkoff] Good news from Afghanistan, Part 13: The Strengthening Higher Education Program aims to progressively restore basic operational performance at a group of core universities in Afghanistan, and to provide an institutional base for the development of an agenda focusing on tertiary education development, capacity building and reform. The program is envisaged as the first-phase of a long-term higher education development program in Afghanistan. In addition, it will act as a catalyst to attract various resources to the Afghan tertiary education sector with a long-term development framework. The program also facilitates and finances partnership program agreements for Kabul Polytechnic University, Kabul University, and four regional universities (Balkh, Herat, Kandahar and Nangarhar) with established foreign universities.

[Blogs.commercialappeal.com] Golf Blog: Heath Slocum sits in second -- he got to 9-under with a birdie at 7 and promptly bogeyed No. 8 -- with Bob Estes, the 2001 champ whose chance to go really low was derailed by a bogey at 14 before rallying with a birdie at 15, and Paul Goydos, whose birdie at 10 got him back to 8-under.

[Thegolfblog.com] The Golf Blog: Man, I hope the rain stops before the Masters: Weir took some criticism after his Masters win because of the way the course played that week. I watched the entire thing and thought he thoroughly deserved the victory. OK, his driving was almost below average, but his short game was just magical all week!

[Armyadvice.org] The <i>"Mike Golf's"</i> OIF3 Blog: Strangest thing happen to me as I have been preparing to Blog about my lastest experiance.  From a writers stand point, I'm not sure about the tone that I want to convey as I'm writting my latest story.  I tend to let emotions carry the thought process, than tone down the actual words before the get “inked”.  Never really paid attention to this all very much in Beyer High School, so many years ago.  Good thing for me is I'll be on a brief road trip for a bit and get to think about it all.  More to follow on that.
