[Bohnsack.com] bohnsack.com » Blog Archive » Broken ankle progress (part II): I feel like I have been to hell and back, I was playing Football (soccer) on thursday night 28th Sept and in the process of shooting, found that my new nike multisurface boots (bought the previous week especialy for the new surface) had adhered to the new 2nd generation astro surface (fake grass with rubber shred fillers as opposed to old style thin grass with a sand layer), the net result, not due to any collision or impact, was that I suffered a spiral fracture of the right fibula, dislocation of the ankle 90 degrees to the right, and obvious disruption to the ligament complex. I was training for a new team ahead of our sunday league fixture, I did not know any of the players and had not taken my cell phone to the game.
