[Paul's World] 2 more rounds this weekend, then a round with a real pro golfer next week, then the big member/member tournament in 2 weeks. I have to get my game in order QUICK! I can't leave Rick hanging in the tournament with me playing like an @#$@.
Some slightly related from Technorati and Google.

[The Locust Fork] Race Plays Role in Scrushy Trial?: In one golf round at Shoal Creek one year, back when HealthSouth was a big sponsor of the golf tournament they hold there every year, former University of Florida football coach Steve Spurrier was in the foursome along with a former Alabama Crimson Tide football star - and Scrushy. At one point Spurrier noticed Scrushy cheating. Being a scratch golfer and a stickler for the rules himself, he was quite appalled and remarked to Finebaum, "Anybody who would cheat at golf would cheat at business."
[BogeyLounge :: The Golf Blog that's always about golf...] Pro athletes among those chasing the largest check in golf history: "Golf has an incredible lure to professional athletes and always has. Everyone knows that stars like Michael Jordan, John Smoltz and Dan Marino are very good golfers. At Big Stakes we will see professional athletes who excel at golf," says Alex Czajkowski, Marketing Director, Sportsbook.com. "Golf is not just a pastime for these guys, they are tremendous golfers looking to showcase their skills and win the largest payout in golf history."
[Big Ten Wonk] Departing Big Ten players, Wonk salutes you! This ...: with 22 points, including 6-of-8 on his threes. EXCLUSIVE Wonk software note. Wonk's crack staff of software development engineers have perfected a Big-Ten-hoops-savvy syntax checker called HoopCheck. As I typed the above paragraph it continually put a squiggly green line under the words 'Zach Morley' and '6-of-8 on his threes.' When your intrepid blogger right-clicks he gets, 'Suggested changes: "Zach Morley ball-faked jerkily and dribbled the ball off his foot"; "Zach Morley flopped and got the call"; "Zach Morley got yelled at by Bo Ryan and told to 'get a damn haircut.'"'"

[Spaces.msn.com] Blog: Next week is the big member/member tournament and needless to say I'm very concerned. I'm playing about as bad as possible right now. My short game is the only thing keeping me from shooting in the 90's. I play tomorrow and then the tournament starts friday with the official "practice round" and some other festivities. More than likely I will get to the driving range a bunch this week. I'm trying to have a very positive attitude and talk myself into some good golf thoughts. I keep telling myself that I have to break out of this slump eventually, why not next week in the tournament?
[Rgu.freeshell.org] Rick's Ramblings (Two): Danielle Aimee, whom I've posted about already [1] [2], shot 8-over 79 in the first round of her first LPGA event, the Michelob Ultra Open. The leaders Silvia Cavalleri and Catrin Nilsmark are both at 4-under 67. It's a tough start for Dani, but when I look at her score card, I see that she really had a tough front nine, then settled down on the back nine.
[Nothreeputts.blogspot.com] No Damn Three Putts: A golf blog with some balls. : September 2004: Who the hell is Bart Bryant? He's the guy that won the Texas Open last weekend. After going 0-for-186 on the PGA Tour Bart "the BartMan" Bryant, 41, has finally won a tournament. While the world watched the Ryder Cup this weekend, Bart Bryant quietly won the Texas Open. With rounds of 67-67-60-67 he easily won by 3 strokes.
[Aolsvc.bookreporter.aol.com] Bookreporter.com - WHO'S YOUR CADDY? by Rick Reilly: Indeed, it may have been his attempts to cash in on his rising popularity that led to his break-up with Tiger. Steve Williams is Woods's current caddy and a multi-millionaire in his own right who, like all professional caddies, earns a percentage of his golfer's winnings. Caddies are truly unique individuals, both personally and professionally. It was this uniqueness that led Rick Reilly, a well-known sports writer and frequent contributor to Sports Illustrated, to embark on an unusual journey.
[Thegolfblog.com] The Golf Blog: 04/01/2004 - 04/30/2004: If you did not catch it, you missed one of the greatest showdowns the PGA Tour has seen. What was most impressive on the back 9 at Augusta was that two world class players, Phil Mickelson and Ernie Els, played pretty much flawless golf, matching each other birdie for birdie (or 4 Mickelson birdies for 2 Els eagles). The intense drama was made all the more riveting by K.J. Choi's eagle on the 11th from 210 out, and then Padraig Harrington's and Kirk Triplett's consecutive hole-in-one's on the 16th.
