Why wouldnt the most prestigious womens sports organization in existence today not think that the right woman would be a best fit and actively search for such a female to lead this wonderful organization?? Every top LPGA player of that era, with the exception of the inconsiderate Nancy Lopez, played the Danvers/Middleton/Topsfield layout.

[Women Talk Sports | Latest News and Blog Posts] Is the Monkey Off Wie's Back? | Women Talk Sports | The first ...: It now seemed a foregone conclusion that this was the ”New and Improved Michelle Wie and she WOULD win on the LPGA sooner rather than later. The issue at hand though is that is this first win enough to relieve some of the scrutiny and pressure? Again, I say that I seriously doubt it. That monkey is still saddled up and plans on taking a much longer ride. She admitted that she still has much to learn and experience. This is only the beginning of what people had hoped would have happened years earlier. One point to leave you with is that Tiger Woods was, like Michelle, also 20 years of age when he won his first professional event. So if that correlation has any bearing on the matter, her monkey will eventually be removed and sent scrambling to the trees.

However, when it was evident that companies were struggling and that was having a direct impact on their ability to maintain their sponsorships in the same manner as they had in the past, why wouldnt there be a ”temporary hold on increasing licensing fees and prize purses until the economy improved? Is Bivens the proverbial ”bull in the china shop just charging ahead and leaving turmoil and destruction in her wake? Given the list of lost events and player unrest, it seems to this author it is time for new leadership at the top.
